Hello

Has anyone tested how these new products are on bad RF area's?
How would they compare to Canopy?
Is MiMo affected worse than g mode by interference?

I know Mikrotik Nstreme does not do so well with this.

Also, will signals be better because of n?

One more :-)
Is a -80 acceptable to connect a client with?

Thanks heaps for any input.

Never had chance to test in a high RF environment yet.

"Signals" as in signal level, well.."n" is more robust compared to a comparable signal levle then "g" and most certainly compared to "b".

Is -80 dBm an acceptable level? Depends...

At a 6 Mbps over the air data speed, the receiver sensitivity threshold is around -94 dBm. So -80 would be 14 worth of fade margin. Some people find that is a comfortable margin, usually for less than a mile path.

At 54 Mbps, the receiver needs at least -74 or so dBm to recovery a signal. So no, -80 would simple not work.
