Hmm... Probably should set a date in late October or early November for AirMAX CampCon 2009... With all the 102 degree F days we've been having, I'd hate to see anyone shrink wrapped into there sleeping bags... hehe Not to mention, the smell of humans frying in their tents. :o  The bbq though sounds like a nice touch... Heck, if you timed it right WHT, you could roll it into a turkey shoot.

Nothing like the first day of turkey season to wake you up at dawn while camping. Scooter (one of my dogs) has "thunderstorm" anxiety and went bananas, and the horses were not to happy either.

Hey Guys,

We are setting the schedule of event, and talking points down right now, and will release a detailed schedule as we get closer.

Thanks,

Mike

Any new details?

This is for 1 day correct? We are planning the trip/flight and need to know as much info as possible, specifically on the timing - start and end of conference.

thanks

the conference in Chicago. Just where is Chicago?

Looking at my official national map of Texas, everything north of the Red Rive is called "uncharted territories". It does have "a few big lakes" diagrammed up to the north and the label "Chicago". Is that a camping ground?

I don't visit them there Blue States. It scares me that the only people allowed to carry guns are the criminals. And you can't do Chicago. I couldn't stomach putting money in a State that supported the guy who put 11% of the country out of work. I say have it in Texas.

Ouch. I'll be there.

BTW, being a Chicago native, if the presentation isn't worth the trip, my cousins Guido and Vinnie will be discussing the refund plus expenses situation :).

LOL...I can handle Vinnie...but Guido scares me.

Would be nice for you all to schedule a conference/seminar down in Texas... They won't let us local government types galavant around the country too much. Some silly thing about budgets and public opinion

Hi Mike:

Never been to Madrid, so can't comment but here on the Orihuela Costa there is something for every taste.

If you visit a real Spanish restaurant, there is great atmosphere, great food, the wine flows and you don't break the bank.

You do have to like seafood

I have signed up for the Chicago conference. I saw the schedule will most likely be from 10-6. Will there be break out sessions for demos and q&a or a one big auditorium? I would like to know more about the airmax success stories and best practices on installing at tower sites. Will there be physical equipment there to look at and take notes on or just screen shots? Thanks

Hi,

Yes, there will be product on display. There will be information on the products, network management, etc...From ~4-6pm there will be an informal Q&A session with drinks. We can take questions at that time. Also, this is a great time to discuss deployment scenarios, typical setup with other companies attending.

Ben

I am kind of confused on the actual cost of the conference. If i book flight, register and show up is that enough? Is the hotel room required? Please advise before I purchase the room.

Thanks

Thanks for the response ben, I actually have a flight in at 6:20am and leaving same evening at 9pm so I wont need a room. Got flight at 180$ !!! Any idea if there are more registrations than rockets being handed out? Also is there an ability to purchase products at the conference? I really would like to get my hands on 2 rocket dishes. Cant find them anywhere.

Thanks,
Claudio

Rocket dishes won't be available for a couple more weeks. Pac Wireless has one that is "similiar" without the brackets and cables.

Hello Ben,

Do you know if there will be chance to buy something from your portfolio at conference (I'm attending Warsaw conf.)?
I'm interested in RouterStation Pro which a problem to obtain here in Europe, not many stores have them in Stock.

Hi Vlado,

We won't have products available with us at the show. However, the RS Pro products have just started shipping so they will become readily available now through the channel partners.

Ben

It looks like an email snafu makes me one of those laggards who did not respond to his registration request for the Chicago Airmax conference in time, which is a bummer since I will be in Chicago nevertheless.

The lunch and Rocket I can forgo, but I am curious if there is a phone number which I may call to inquire whether I would at least be permitted to attend the conference. I do not see one provided on the AWC page.

My apologies for the difficulties.

OK - I flew in from Boston this morning (American Airlines - left Logan right before the bomb scare.) It took me 30 minutes to find my room at the Marriot - I think it might be close to a 40 acre hotel. Where's the actual dog and pony show going to happen here? Third floor? Do I need to sign in somewhere first? Will the UBNT guys be clearly marked so we know who to throw stuff at?
