How many subscriber stations support Roket M and Bullet M in AP mode?

Hello,
That number is highly dependent upon the size of the pipe you have coming in along with a number of other enviromental factor's.
In a clean enviroment and unlimited pipe you can get ~120 with AirMax on.
Thanks,
Mike

Hey,
we have to tell marketing about that...
They still think about 300.. :-)

Public safety and utilities metering might be cases where 300 devices are feasible.

Hello,
The 300 number described is per tower using 3 or 4 Rocket AP's with 90 - 120 degree sectors.

75 client per AP it's a pretty fair number 300 / 4 AP in the same tower
I have a tower with 3 AP and around 100 clients and it's a the performance right know it's working good but can be better. So air max will help us a lot with that...

But this number of suscribers are only if they all are M type?? what if i use a bullet M5hp as an AP and for CPEs nanoloco 5?
You can use an AirMax AP, but all advantages will be lost with non-AirMax radios because they don't support polling.

Not necessarily, the number of subscribers really depends on the cpu power of the AP, which stay the same with N, or B/G.
But the speed for each connection will decrease with B/G.

Makes sense !!

So the botton line its that an AP can only support that number of suscribers only if all of the clients are M Type....that's too bad. I was looking an AP capable to support that many users....

I do not think any tests were ever made under those circumstances yet...we have to wait and see....
These AP has 400Mhz of cpu power which is a lot more than the 180Mhz of the legacy products, so they should accommodate more clients independently of the protocol. On N, they will have faster connections for sure , but not necessarily more subscribers.
The 30 to 35 limit of previous radios was mostly CPU power.
The ability to support over a hundred users is mostly in part because of the polling.

Well that is only depends of TDMA (AirMax) real world functionality! Polling allow more client per sector. Because the actual standard of 802.11X are not design for a lots of client per AP.
That it's why Motorola, Trangol, Waverider and all those out there design his own polling protocols....
