I have a tower with a Bul2HP in AP mode, it is set (along with all the clients NS2 & NS2Loco) in B only mode. It has about 20 clients and is going along nicely.
If I were to swap the Bul2HP with a BulM2HP...
can it be done?
will I need to touch each of the clients and change their settings?
must I change these settings before the swap to increase the likely hood the clients will associate with the replacement AP?
BTW, why would I WANT to swap these. I can foresee a situation where I would HAVE to swap them (equipment failure and availability of replacement radios, that sort of thing)

I would not recommend it at the current time.

Are there any setting which will allow the BulM2HP connect to a NS2Loco?
Under what circumstances will it connect?
what settings will prevent it from connecting?
thanks

In station mode, it will pair with anything, G,N, but B.
In AP mode, you have to set 20mhz channel, and Airmax off to get loco as client

When we will know why not? I was thinking of replacing some Bullet2-HP AP's with these also. My current B2HP's run G mode (10mhz) only. I'm wanting to take advantage of the bigger CPU for more clients per sector in G mode, since they are the same price and all, and I turn my Bullet2-HP's down quite a bit when used as AP's.

Let me see if I understand correctly...
1) I cannot use the BUL2mHP as a client on my network because I have my AP's set to B Only
2) I cannot use them on my network as an AP because the clients are set to B Only.
1) I could use them as a client on my network if I changed the AP to B/G Mixed. so if I were to change the APs to B/G would I have to change the NS2's and the NS2L's to B/G also?
2)I could use them as AP on my network but would have to change the clients first...
That is what I am understanding as of now
oh yes, #3) set up a new tower with the BUL2mHP as an AP and only use BUL2mHP as clients on it.
