I just received a pair of Bullet M5 radios, and replaced my Trango Atlas 45 Link between my house and our Data Center. I live approx half a mile away, have perfect line of sight, had a 54mbps link on the atlas radios..

Now comes the Bullet M5 issues.. using the EXACT same channel, channel width, antennas, everything I get approx 25mbps down, and 5mbps out, compared with 40mbps down and 40mbps up with the Trango gear.

I've reset the M5's multiple times, followed the bridge guide, and the link worked for about 30 seconds, then everything died. I can however ping the radios on both ends of the link with my laptop plugged directly into the radio, however I can't ping anything past my Cisco switch. (I replaced the Trango Atlas link and everything comes up perfectly.)

Any suggestions?

Hello,

Can you please post screenshots of your Link Setup and Advanced page or each unit?

Thanks,

Mike

Hello,

Also the next thing to try is this:

Reset both units to factory default.

Set them into AP - STA mode - no WDS
Set WPA security
Set to Channel 5785 in 40Mhz mode.

On the advanced tab - make sure AutoACK is on. Make sure the aggregation settings are at default.

Test the link with AirMax on and off

Also what program are you using to test the units speed?

Thanks,

You have something wrong in the config.

Are you using iperf or Btest?

I would try reducing the output power to the same as the Trango as a comparison. It's possible that VSWR and/or non-linearities are present but wouldn't hurt that much when using a weaker output.
