Great thread over there on the MikroTik forum about 802.11n and their boards. People are using both Ubiquiti RF cards and the R52n radio card.

The results are looking great! That said, I LOVE AirOS way more than MikroTik... if the LS-SR71 was more supported I would rather use that... but that project seems to have been dropped for the BulletM....

hi,

We would certainly like to get hold of the ls-sr71's + sr71-15's , it looks to be an RB411AH equivalent hardware performance platform but with AirOS etc..

Ideal for Point to point links no doubt. The bullet M is cool but if you need to fill a 100 mbps ethernet both ways then you need dual aerials so this is the ideal product..

When can we get it though?, its not stocked as yet as far as i have found..

cheers

hi mike,
do you have checked this issue?

1) is sr71-15 compatible with rb600 (last routeros)?
2) is wds working (for trasparent layer2 bridge)?
3) is rb600 + sr71-15 capable to mpls passtrough?

L2MTU on rb600 is: 1500-9500

thanks

I have had no luck at all with R52N's in routerboards. I've tried everything I can think of and the throughput is just terrible. On their forums, there are lots of success stories, but also lots of failure stories like mine. It just seems very unstable right now. I have read good things about the SR71-15 though. I would like to try them, but I'm worried I will run into the same issue I'm having now with the R52n.

siddolo - rb600 or rb600a? I know the sr71-15 card is compatible with the rb600a and rb800 with the v4.10..

all of my Mikrotik boards work great with the SR71-15. i'm using v 4.5 and 4.6 of RouterOS.

i had to give up on the RouterStations -- just too much trouble compared to the Mikrotiks.

Give RouterStation a few years to catch up to Mikrotik. Until then, RouterStation is a toy for the uber programming geeks that like cold showers and sand in their underwear.

I wish that were true, but it seems like ubnt isn't really doing much with the routerstation anymore.

They never did do anything in the first place. They built a board, ran a contest for developers to come up with applications.

You may see a post once every few weeks in the RouterStation forum, but you do *NOT* see anything of the caliber Mikrotik's RouterBoard offers.

Hello,

As long as AirMax is off they are compatible.

Thanks,
