So when will UBNT reveal the full featureset, this should mean they are officially "released".

I too am waiting for this. I phoned in my order to Streakwave last night. Too late to make it on the UPS truck. Mine are supposed to ship out today.

damn you people with money....
kewlkeed...
Obviously there is a credibility issue here.
1) I was told by Streakwave on July 21th they expected 1,000 units around the first of August.
2) Given there is a chronic repeat of shortages are they not ordering enough OR is UBNT not releasing enough?
3) Streakwave says they have a standing order for a sufficient number of units to keep them in stock. So why are they out of stock already?
4) UNBT says there is enough in the supply chain to keep suppliers in stock.

I believe most of Streakwave's units were presold. Microcom and WispRouter should be recieving there shipments in a day or two.
Thanks,
Mike

Well , I just ordered some (6) units m2hp today from streakwave and they got shipped right away ...today....
I had a backorder with microcom but cancelled as streakwave got them first (for 95 cents less each... LOL, just kidding). Microcom said that they expect them by october! sooo.... maybe they just don't want to make promises they might not be able to keep.
Microcom said that they expect them by october! That is totally insane. there is no way in hell any WISP can run a business with that kind of availability projection.
Lets look at this:
1) Microcom may not be on UBNT's top dealer lsit, so they may get whats left over after Streakwave gets them.
2) Micromm may not have a clue how fast they sell and don't have a standing order for sufficient radios.
3) Microcom may not realize if another customer gets better service, they may loose that customer if they don't get a handle on that.
I was officially asked not to mention Streakwave in my posts anymore. And more specifically not to name names. Streakwave upper management feels it leaves a bad impression of their company.
STREAKWAVE...put on yer big gurl panties and help figure out where the supply problem is.
I had a backorder with microcom but cancelled as streakwave got them firstEven if you ordered a thousand of them and they placed a special order just for you. They can unload teh radios you'll never buy to someone else within a week.

Hrm, what's wrong with Streakwave, I mostly like them. The only issue they have is with Ubiquity stock, as do many other companies. Ubiquity has to do something to keep the supply chain fed more appropriately. I'm pretty sure they are losing sales because of this. I myself in the short period of time we've been using Ubiquity gear, have had to scrounge for Bullet2-HP's, NanoL2's, and most recently PS2's (had to pay a premium on those too).
If Ubiquity wants to dominate the market as has been claimed by some here, they need to solve their inventory problems, and become more then just a build to order company for resellers.
Nothing is wrong with Streakwave in particular. They are no different from the other suppliers when it comes to no inventory.

Hi All,
As stated in my original post, our Bullet "M" units are/were sold on a first come first serve basis. Any time Ubiquiti releases a new product they release smaller qty's to ALL their distributors that have placed so that all markets (not just the US) receive some initial product. We have plenty of PO's in house w/ Ubiquiti and do our best to update our customers on the ETA based on the information provided to us. We do this for ALL the manufacturers we represent.
Should you have any questions or concerns relating to our current inventory "issues" please don't hesitate to contact any of our Account Managers or Sales Support staff from any one of our 3 sales and distribution facilities listed below and they will be happy to relay the latest and most current information we have received.
In addition, I do not monitor this form or the postings of individuals/customers. If you wish to contact me please send an email to me directly or post a private message which will notify me offline. We are responding to a post made on the forum that was forwarded to us by a partner who thought we should respond accordingly. We value all our customers and appreciate the opportunity to serve you.

Someone, if not you personally, at Streakwave reads these forums.
Obviously that person's first language is not English.
Read what I said,
"STREAKWAVE...put on yer big gurl panties and help figure out where the supply problem is.
I am asking Streakwave to HELP resolve the problem. I was not pointing a a finger to blame.
Read what I last said, Nothing is wrong with Streakwave in particular. They are no different from the other suppliers when it comes to no inventory.
UPDATE:.....
I just got an email from Streakwave telling me my account has been closed. Last week I was asked to stop making disparaging remarks. In spite of the fact all my comments were based on fact, or if based on supposition - it was clearly noted.
Obviously you, Joshua, have missed all the times that I endorsed Streakwave. To quote an esteemed contributor to the forum, "Stop being a cry baby".

I gave the european distributors a chance, but after waiting an extra week I received an email telling me the order would be pushed yet another week. I then placed an order from the good ol'e US of A and will also have a bucketfull middle of next week. You want 1/2 a bucket from me?

Hi Davey,
I guess my post was a bit open and not clear enough. I gave the recommended Master Distributor from UBNT a standing order for M5's. Because I can be impatient at times  I freaked out and went for the seemingly positive thing. Sorry for the false info...

Well, nowt like a supplier to cut off a customer!.. no wait.. let me see... oh yes.. Mikrotik .. if you say disparaging things in their forums they ban you from the forum, remove all your posts and don't warn you in anyway or explain afterwards why..
The irony is they listed me in their "top forum contributors" just after and offered free tickets to their MUM.. i know what they can do with their mum if they treat customers that way
Was going to order from Streakwave as they say they have stock of 5M's, hell no if they treat people this way..

delusion is a wonderful thing.. arrogance isn't.. (ask Tranzeo / MT )
anyway , for long term european sourcing it seems wifi-stock.com will have em in after 18th so will aerial.net but they don't seem to have stock of much else at the moment! :(
Short term i have the offer of some from germany , yay!
least wifi-stock are a mere 1700 miles away
what happened to my two test units Mike :?:

Suppliers do not like to hear those things. Joshua Farlow is VP of Sales. He most likely reports to the CEO, Carl Molberg.
I ponder if Mr. Molberg will realized the can of worms that has been opened at Streakwave, or if he even gives a flying rat's asss about the bad PR.
Joshua posted Mr. Molberg's email address, Carl@Streakwave.com Let him know your feelings.
There are plenty of ways I can still get UBNT products, even from Streakwave. So closing my account won't impact me, but the bad PR doesn't help their image

Mike, please rush some 5 GHz M units to Brazil... it takes a long time here to get regulatory certification which is a must have in our market.
We usually do business with WDC but are fine with the other local distributors.

The following is strictly my opinion and as I understand it one is entitled to an opinion.... at least for the time being.
The first time that I have ever ordered from streak wave was a couple of days ago for the bullet m's. I must say it was somewhat difficult to deal with them. I faxed over everything they asked for yet still it was not good enough... I needed to make the payment using another method. Guess what ... the "other method" went trough the same credit card anyway.
As long as microcom gets them(Bullet M's) in stock too , I'll be really happy.
At least streakwave had them first and they are on thier way here (credit is due where credit is due) .... I do really hope the right stuff got shipped to me :-D
I ponder the results if there was a poll:
Would you consider or continue buying from a company, knowing they could close your account for making disparaging (but factually correct) comments about them.
1) I would NOT consider or continue buying from them, and seek out other dealers.
2) I would have reservations about considering or continue buying from them, and seek out other dealers.
3) No answer.

hi WHT,
Ironically this kind of supplier issue worked in Ubiquiti's favour, MT have lost sales of over 500 units so far from us since they banned me from their forum without giving a reason (probably remarks made after spending a whole weekend driving hundreds of miles replacing duff MT product again and/or reverting firmware because of a stupid bug that should of been detected at testing before release).
Of course Ubiquiti have gained those sales so they have nothing to complain about :)
What it shows is though that it doesn't matter how good you think your product is. If you treat your customers with arrogance and contempt.. you will lose them..
If the same was to happen here then the next step would be to sign that NDA with Atheros and develop our own kit if needs must!.
Thats no empty threat either, i spent over 20 years as an RF/Electronic product design Engineer/Consultant and have a lot of production experience..
But i am sure it won't happen here... 8) , my biggest prob here at the moment is getting a bloody t-shirt!
Perhaps one of the greater things with UBNT is the willingness to listen to the customers and go forward with innovation. That goes a far way to getting new customers and keeping existing ones.
Now...about them t-shirts. OK..I won't go there.
