I just found out about these new bullets from a distributor. If they work as per the early testers claim, they are awesome for the price. Are they also based on Atheros SoCs? If so what chipsets? Will toolchains be released with the product?

Yes on both accounts. They are Atheros chips and we will release an SDK after launch.
