Now can they be used in WDS mode to setup three hops like the regular B2's or setup to use the open mesh software ?

Hello,

Yes, my software team says this functionality will be in the software.

Thanks,

Mike

These do sound awesome. Can't wait to get a set to play with. If my Solar Repeater (http://www.ubnt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7256&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0) was still in place these would be going up there for sure! Too bad I ended up having to move after 3 months!

Remember when you had interference with the grids to close together and using close spaced channels...

When I do a site survey from the back haul tail end, I can see my head end at 22 miles away on Ch. 153 at -68 Bm, and the Loco 5 pointed in the opposite direction on Ch. 149 at -54 dBm.

When I change the Loco to Ch. 153, the back haul never misses a beat, even though the Loco's signal is sneaking around to the front of my grid and is 14 dBm stronger than my back haul link AP to the north.

Considering you get about 20 dB isolation when you run to antennas side by side (or on top of the other) with opposite polarization, I'd venture to say you could use the same channel.

Good Stuff.

WHT what was the final verdict on actual user throughput on your 22 mile test link? Its not actually 65mbit is it?

Have not gotten around to it yet. I didn't realize the test server was running SQL in the background and it was really slowing the test.
