Just want to know that is possible to using M2 as AP then using Bullet2/Hp as client?
Coz i got problem with bottleneck AP throughput heres.

thanks.

Hello,

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the m2 as an AP ? for those 2 to be able to connect with each other the m2 would have to be in b or g mode.... so not n mode ...(it says in the specs that the m2 can do b/g modes, so it would work with other 2/hp bullets .. but there is no point
both (or more) should be n capable (m2) for there to be a appeal.

You can certainly use the Bullet M as an AP and use Bullet 2 radios for clients, but...

Any Bullet M clients will be significantly slowed down (sitting idle) when the AP has to deal with b/g clients. A similar problem when you mix b and g clients on a b/g AP.

It will also defeat another important feature that can't be discussed at this time.

I suppose the CPU of the M would provide a snappier interface http://users.on.net/~luchich/v.gif

ouch its so bad, cause i need more throughput...
on my area p2p using b2hp only had 1,5mbps throughput and on my p2mp its being worst...
si i must change all of it using 2m... i havve not budget enought right now :(
thanks guys.

I'd more closely monitor and manage those P2P connections.

What's the bottleneck, too many users? If it's too many users the Bullet M should help. With half channels on a Bullet2HP right now, if I unshape a user (we use pppoe and I traffic shape at the redback), I can get close to 10mb client to AP, very happy with the throughput and performance thus far. Just worried about scalability per sector, which the Bullet M should alleviate.

Hopefully their super secret feature will allow us to do voice over wifi, as Wisp's want to supplement their last mile delivery product, which is what we currently do with our DSL loops, and why we have some Alvarion wimax gear in for trial at the moment.

I dont think its caused by too many user, its too many signal interference I guess, cause to crowded here, some even using 4w booster :(

Wish it have better chipset to handle more throughput...

If it's interference, go to narrower channels. 10mhz channel width will make your life simpler.

hi

cyberwolf, is the link ok between b2hp & bm2hp?
i have the bulletm2 and i want to order a second bullet2hp (not m) to make a
ptp link, with b2hp=ap and bm2hp=client.

Hello,

Yes this should work ok, but the there are limitations. The limitation will be removed with the release of V5.1 of our software.

Thanks,

Mike
