Hi all,

This is the 1st 802.11n device I saw with a 100 BASE-TX wired lan.
Since 11n can get over 150mbps per stream (I suppose), these new Bullet M devices shouldn’t be using gigabit lan port? Are the specs right?
It will be equipped with 100mbps wired lan?

Regards.

Hello,

10 Base T is FULL DUPLEX. 100Mbps in EACH direction.

802.11n is half duplex. 150 Mbps is 75 Mbps in each direction, well under the cap for 10/100. The only time you would ever even come close to capping this out, is pushing massive data (greater then 90mbps TCP/IP) in one directions, but these situations are very very limited.

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks Mike.

I've put 2 bullet5M in backorder. Now I need a pair of 5ghz antennas. Is very difficult to found 5ghz antennas in Brazil, specially low gain ones (both bullets will be only 200m apart).
Right now I'm using 2 bullets2 with 12db panels (60º). With this setup I need only 12dBm of power to get around -50 of signal. I'm planning to move from 2.4ghz to 5ghz, but all 5ghz antennas I found are above 19dB (PA58-19 from PA58-19). I don't need that much :(

Should be easier to me if UBNT was launching a NS Loco5M! :D

I'll get around to post pics of a home made unity gain 5.8 Gig antenna, similar to the 2.4 Gig "spider" antenna seen on the web.
