When might these new 802.11n beasties be available? I still can't get my hands on Bullet 2 HP's as they're continuously out of stock and I don't dare bid a project with them if I can't get them within a week or two.
If they're available today, shipping now (not 6 weeks from now) I'll have a batch on order as of 'yesterday'.
Of course, I'm guessing these have a huge lead time on them and we'll be looking at more crazy out of stock, never in stock delays.
It's never encouraging when a vendor has a 6-8 weeks sticker on availability for an access point for months on end.

Satirewolf, I had Bullet2HPs on order for months and I now have a dozen.
Check with HD Communications out of NY at www.wirelessnetworkproducts.com or www.wisp-router.com out of Kansas. They both HAD some in stock last week. When I'm searching for Bullets or Locos, I just go down the distributor list and call each one until I find stock. Good Luck!

I spoke to two suppliers this morning from the USA both said roughly 2 months until they get them.
As I am in Australia is there a quicker way I can get a pair of these? Why I ask is I was about to sign the paperwork to go with another supplier this week but now you have released these I would been keen to try them out as I would prefer to go with Ubiquiti over my other supplier.
Cheers
Cameron

I'm also in .AU and am not the only one I know that is looking for a better source than the USA. I have tried ubnt's distributor in china a few times but no reply.
Maybe we can all work together to produce a better result for us poor bastards in .AU!?

As a matter of principle I don't do business with wisp-router anymore. I got the run around on two returns there and haven't worked with them since. In both cases they intimated that we had purposely damaged the hardware (which certainly wasn't the case, it was just faulty gear that shorted to ground internally on the board for the gear). I had already purchased two dozen identical boards, and it was just 2 from one batch that bit it the second we plugged them in.
I'll check out HD Communications though. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks, I wasn't aware the stocking issue finally got solved. Typically I don't get but a week or two lead time on the time between bid acceptance and when a job is supposed to start. And most jobs only run a week or two at most, so availability is crucial.
If I can get a few big ubnt jobs built out I'll keep some stock in house for repairs and replacements and for fronting new jobs, but it's been hard to get a hold of even one :)

Hmmmm, as someone that had bullet 5HPs pre-ordered since January (looks like they have now quietly even disappeared from the product documentation list), I can't help but notice that a reputable US distributor shows:
Availability: October 2009

Another shipment I am assuming. I got my two Bullet5M's from Streakwave today. Took a quick test (busy doing other stuff) -- right out of the box, no tweaking of settings for better performance - I was getting 68Mbps across the link on a FTP download. That was about 300' away (it was a bit wet out, didn''t want to test a longer link on radios that I have never experimented with before.
Certainly blows all my NS/PS radios out of the water in terms of backhaul speeds!
