Dear community, Dear Ubiquiti Networks employees,
I've recently purchased a SR71X, because it seems to be one of the very less (probably even the only) expresscard which has support for a,b,g and n band.
I'm going to use this product to do WLAN site surveys, so I'm highly depend on high avaibility and reliable function.
After receiving the card I tried to get it running with Windows Vista 32Bit. The CD which was shipped with the product did not seem to work and after studying the forums I found the correct Windows driver. Unfortunately this driver has only very less options and so I had to use the Atheros ACU to have at least a little more configuration options.
Nevertheless I am not able to change the transmit power, which is very frustrating and hindiring for my business.
Furthermore I am now planning to use the device with my Win XP Prof Tablet PC. Right now I do not see a appropriate driver, because the windows driver (http://ubnt.com/support/windrivers.php) seems only to be available for Vista.
So all in all I'm totally upset with the product and can't recommend it right now.
Kind regards,
Michael
