Hello,
I've received today an SR71C card, but when I connect it to my Ubuntu 9.04 laptop, it doesn't appear in the list of interfaces and I see the following message:
[1100385.895244] ath9k 0000:03:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 19 (level, low) -> IRQ 19
[1100386.011698] ath_init: unable to attach hardware; HAL status 4294967291
[1100386.011737] ath9k 0000:03:00.0: PCI INT A disabled
If I list my PCI devices, I see it there and apparently there are no problems
03:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR922X Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)
Subsystem: Device 0777:4c05
Flags: 66MHz, medium devsel, IRQ 19
Memory at 120000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2
Kernel modules: ath9k
Does anybody have an idea, why my card isn't working?

Hi!
First see ath9k information driver page :
http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/ath9k#ath9k
Try to install the last build (same if you don't see your wireless card or your atheros chipset in ath9k page), every days ath9k is patched, maybe for you..., well today is 2009-06-11 so (in root):
# wget http://wireless.kernel.org/download/compat-wireless-2.6/compat-wireless-2009-06-11.tar.bz2
Unbzip file :
# tar jxvf compat-wireless-2009-06-11.tar.bz2
Change dir :
# cd compat-wireless-2009-06-11
Compile :
# make
Install
# make install
If your are missing package during the compilation, search it with aptitude :
# aptitude search libnlx*
regards,
/Nexus6

Hi Nexus6, thanks for your reply
I did what you suggested, but still same problem, the only difference is that the error message disapeared

Any other idea or should be trying this procedure every day?
Thanks

Anyone?
Why do you announce then that this card has support for Linux when in fact it doesn't work under such OS? :x

..the neverending story.
Hi devel-team,
I really look foward to get finally my SR71-C working under linux, currently I've purchased
again my good old school Alfa cards and the previous ubiquiti abg.
I've played now several times and still not working, even with brand new madwifi-ng
drivers and latest kernel 2.6.30.3
Here are my details about this *challenge*

I've also contacted the kernel developers, keep you guys posted!
THX & look forward that you spent more time on driver development for the latest
atheros chipset, I'm a huge fan of ubiquiti and would be a shame to move to a
different brand ;-)

It's been three months now since I posted my initial problem. I've tried many, many times the procedure that Nexus6 proposed and still no luck, my brand new SR71-C card is just a decoration gadget sitting on my desk.
Question still unanswered:
Why do you announce then that this card has support for Linux when in fact it doesn't work under such OS?
Maybe the wording of my question wasn't right, so I'll try again:
Don't you think that saying that this card works under Linux when in fact it only works under Windows is some sort of false advertising?
