sorry, working package for this board not awailable in ddwrt !
this is not routerstation !

On mikrotik 4.03beta SR71-A cards work, not stable.

I think LS-SR71 board designed for "players"

1. On yesterweek mikrotik starts support Atheros Mimo cards (firmware 4.03b), recuires free online activation: (system > license > update key).

2. Not stable : after 1-2 hours SR71-A overheats and transfer speed hail down

I have one PtP setup with LS71 and SR71 and works good with the current LS71 firmware.

i'm not over the moon with the link, obviously the fw needs a bit more work but it replaced a MKTK dual NS link due to the capacity problems.

steven

OK , I found how to resolve problem on LS-SR71 with the current firmware:
from telnet apply command "ifconfig ath0 allmulti" and voila - in bridge mode LS-SR71 pass all traffic ! Real TCP throughput ~35-40Mbps with different settings (AP WDS -> Station WDS) , ping 1-10ms.

Not superior.... but don't need to throw on the scrapheap this LS-SR71

there is a instruction in the dl folder for the device. but in general just do a ubnt recovery flash which will work all the time.
wds mode is ubnt compatible and fully transparent. im running a
airos <-> dd-wrt wds-link for a year now.
mimo is always supported cause its a hardware feature

I have been running a few unit like his for along while. It does indeed work.

Also please explain how you determined that th SR71 overheated.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi All,

1.For Sash - Your instructions not work absolutelly: "Bad firmware update image" , via tftp firmware puts to device OK but not upgraded and returns to original state (+ activation cost 25euros !)

2. For Mike - after 1-2 hours intensive traffic (60-85Mbps) SR-71A overheats and transfer speed hail down to 20-35Mbps. I tested on mikrotik boards in bridge mode.

Where support and new firmware for LS-SR71 ? UBNT sleep .......zzzz

Hello,

Since you have a device for testing the heat of the chip and determing the overheating. What is the exact temperature the chip reaches in C when it overheats?

Thanks,

Mike
