AirView Ext vs AirView

All,
I am trying to get some information on both the AirView Ext and the AirView spectrum analyzer units.

I am a wireless network engineer for a mesh networking company. My coleagues and I do a lot of traveling and usually carry an Anritsu or Rhodes and Schwartz spec an. Anyone that has travled with these items knows the problems we face.

I would like to know the difference in performance between the 2 units to make a more knowledgeable purchase for testing between the Airview units and our bulkier more expensive units.

Can anyone give me some feedback on which unit (AirView Ext or AieView) they feel is better?

Nothing under a thousand dollars will compare to an Anritsu.

I have both the AirView 2 and the external antenna model. The range of the internal antenna is limited.
