Hi, i've setup a bunch of picostation on a small apartment complex. It's working quite good except some rooms that are on the end of the complex, with my notebook i get good signal and i can connect without problems, but other people has sometimes problems. It looks also like signal goes lower from time to time.
Does anyone recommend me some special settings ?? Each PS2 is configured as AP and cabled over lan to a switch (It doesn't work as repeater).

Try to disable "Extra Reporting" in Advanced Tab.
Please, list device models that have problem to connect and the errors.

It's all 9 picostation 2 connected over LAN (No WDS/Repeater), with the firmware XS2.ar2316.v3.3.2.4257.090214.1451-8M. The main problem is that on some parts of building (The longest distance to the AP, less than 30m indoor) the signal is good, but after connecting the signal goes up and down (unstable), and sometimes it's quite low and people can't connect.
What does the "Extra Reporting" do ??

Have you tried using a bigger antenna.
Might also be a good idea to observe what happens with an airview when the signal dissappears.
Also I have an asus eee laptop which has really really good range. After setting up a motel using it to test all the rooms for signal quality, and finding it perfect, i left.
Few days later I find almost anyone with a compaq or an hp laptop in most rooms couldnt connect because their radios are no where near as powerful as my eee's. Could be something to look into. This was the first motel i setup - have learned now.

Right unfortunatly a lot of notebooks have a very bad internal antena. I'm using a Acer 6292 and it worked nice, and another person with a Dell (Don't ask model) and had very bad signal :(
With other wifi setups i got recomendations like enabling only wifi B, speed set to 11 mb or less to increase signal. THis kind of tips are welcome.

Today I've been at the installation , i've upgraded firmware to the latest version, i've changed a few channels as there where overlapping from outdoor wifi's, disabled the extrareport but still have the same problem, a few points wifi comes and goes, you connect, speed is ok,then it slow downs until disconnecting, and after a few minutes it comes back.
Any tips on how to make it more stable i would appreciate it a lot!

Check your ping watchdog--if you use it, make sure the IP address is correct, if you don't use it, turn it off.

Let me ask how do you have your ssid setup? Are they all the same or different? I have seen where if the ssid are the same, that windows machine may hop around to different connections as the signal may vary.I just setup 4 bullets in a rv park and have the ssid all the same, and my laptop jumps from one ap to another, and my signal goes up and down. Some wireless cards in windows come with their own utility to manage the card and they will associate a mac to a ssid to keep the hop from happening. Hope this may help...

Hi, thanks for the tips. The hopping problem could be possible as they have all the same SSID, but i've checked using inSSDir and the signal vary also from all AP.
