General question for everyone........How had everyone gone about marketing their WISP or Hotspot business? What do you generally charge your subscribers for your services? What bandwidth do you offer per subscriber and do you offer a tiered service ( Different speeds)?

If you're the only game in town, you can get away with $60 per month for a 512 Kbps connection.

We're coming in with a three tier level starting at $19.95 per month for 1 Kbps, a fraction of what everyone else is charging. That will redefine the word "disruptive"

We have three tiers. $19.95 to get the that don't want to pay $29.95 per month for 2 Mbps and $39.95 for 4 Mbps. That way we cover all bases for what people want to pay and speeds they want.

We're uber cutting edge.
Wild Horse Technologies is deploying wireless internet in northern Parker County. This will be the VERY FIRST DEPLOYMENT in the entire world for a new product design of wireless radio equipment.

What are you using for your backhauls to your main radio masts? How much bandwidth to the internet do you have to distribute to the area?

1.5 Mbps per 30 users is a rough idea for your internet connection. That's an average of $20 per user you have to spend on.

How are you building out your antenna masts. Are they independent towers or are you mounting your antennas to pre-existing buildings? If they are independent what hardware are you using to construct it?

There is no standard answer. What ever works for you is the best.

We've used 60 ft telephone poles, other people use Rohn 25 or 45 sections, some spend $10,000 for a self-supporting tower.

Some people use water towers or gain silos or tall buildings.

If its high in the air, its fair game.
